For your consideration, we are offering for sale this New in the Box, Never Inked Limited Edition Montblanc Pope Julius II Fountain Pen from the 2005 Patron of the Art Series fitted with an 18K medium Nib. This particular fountain pen is a Limited Edition 4244 of 4810. This pen comes with the original inner and outer boxes along with the Montblanc International Service Certificate / Documentation. This fountain pen has never been inked and is in Mint Condition. 

NOTE: In 1503, Pope Julius II became the new Pontifex Maximus and worked for ten years to protect the church-state and all of Italy. The Patron of Art Limited Edition Pope Julius II is designed with gold-coated latticework on a cream-colored lacquered background, reminiscent of the papal clothing colors. The cap top reflects the tiara, the headdress of the Pontiff. The 18K solid gold fine nib features the finely engraved emblem of the Pope, the coat of arms of Pope Julius II, who led the clergy as a Patron of the Arts.

The cap and barrel are in perfect condition with no cracks, nicks, dings, dents, or repairs. The cap is always securing tightly to the barrel. The gold-plated overlay on the cap and barrel are magnificent works of craftsmanship and really make this fountain pen stand out. The entire fountain pen shines brilliantly displaying brightly on the gold-plated overlay. This Montblanc is a limited edition number, "4244 of 4810" and is imprinted on the upper left side of the cap. The fountain pen measures 5 3/4" capped and 6 3/4" posted.

This Montblanc fountain pen uses a piston filling system, I have tested it with water and works as it was designed to. It is in perfect working order and does so very smoothly. This pen has never seen ink and wanted to keep it that way for the new owner!. 

This fountain pen features an 18K medium nib. The specially designed 18K gold nib is engraved with the seal of Julius II. The nib is stamped with, "4810, 18K/750, 2005, MONTBLANC" and is considered a MEDIUM point, measuring .81mm with digital calipers. The fountain pen has never been used with ink to preserve its pristine condition for the next owner/collector.
